Abbaye de Talloires lies 12 kilometres from Annecy on the eastern shore of the lake. Situated right on Talloires bay, access to the Abbey is easy. Annecy is served by a train station (TGV) and Geneva Airport is less than one hour's drive away.
By train:
Annecy railway station: there are 5 TGV per day that links Paris to Annecy (it takes 3h and 37mins).
By plane:
From Geneva Cointrin International Airport: it is at 55 km, and it takes 45 mins.
From Lyon St. Exupéry International Airport: It is at 100 km, and it takes 1h 15 mins.
From Chambery Airport: it is at 40 km and it takes 45 mins.
From Annecy-Meythet Airport : it is at 20 km, and it takes 20 mins.

By car via highways:
Coming from: Paris - Lyon A6. Marseille Lyon A7 Lyon - Chambéry - Annecy take the A41 and then A43.
Exit at Annecy Sud. Follow the signs for Annecy-le-Vieux, Le lac, Rive est. Keep the lake to your right, pass Veyrier du Lac, Menthon-St-Bernard. Once in Talloires, turn in round about to your right and follow the sign Le port.
Coming from Geneva:
Exit at Annecy Nord. Follow the signs for Annecy centre, then Annecy-le-Vieux, Le lac, Rive est. Keep the lake to your right, pass Veyrier du Lac, Menthon-St-Bernard. Once in Talloires, turn in round about to your right and follow the sign Le port.
By car via the national roads:
Arriving from the north: via Annecy (once in Annecy, follow the signs Le lac and then as for the motorway exit)
Arriving from the south: via Grenoble, Chambery, Albertville, Ugine, direction Annecy. Once in round about in Doussard, turn to your right, direction Talloires, the lake will be on your left. In Talloires, in round about, turn to your left and continue to Le Port. |
