One of the main advantages of staying at the Hôtel Amarys Royal Saint-Jean is its location, near various means of transport. The Saint Jean train station is only 20 metres away, and at a distance of 150 metres you will find a tramway stop: on this relatively new mean, you will reach the city centre in only 10 minutes. Bordeaux has a whole heritage to discover, from the many squares (Saint Pierre, Saint Croix, Saint Michel) to the parks (Place Fernand Lafargue, Place de Sainte-Colombe, Place Camille Jullian, just to name a few). However, in order to know for sure what the merchants life used to be like at this village born by the river, you should visit the Saint Michel quarter, built around the Basilica in gothic style: an outdoor market still works two days a week, surrounded by shops that try to recreate the intense vibration of this spot in earlier days.
