No-one passing through the area should miss a visit to Saint Remy De Provence, whence their steps will necessarily continue on to Glanum, one of the biggest archaeological sites in the south of France. Whether enjoying a guided tour, or browsing alone, a visit to the archaeological museum, located in the handsome private residence of the Sade family, is a must.
Still in the category of ancient remains, the Arc de Triomphe (dating back to 20 AD) and the Mausolée des Jules (30 to 20 BC) are absolutely astonishing. Saint Remy, also offers numerous religious edifices: monasteries, chapels, churches and more...
At Saint Remy you can also find practical amentities such as bank, post office, supermarkets, chemistry and so on. The village is plenty of cosy restaurants. |
