 If you come in the Loire Valley to visit castles, Jallanges is ideally located between Tours and Amboise. Not even one hour driving from the castle you will find all of the very famous castles of the Loire valley: Chambord or Cheverny are only some examples. In the area you can find some good restaurants, shops and chemists if you need during your stay. The castle is located in Vouvray, few km from the centre of Tours or Amboise. |

By car:
From the motorway A10 from Paris or Tours, take the exit 20 (Sainte Radegonde/Vouvray). At the traffic light, turn left to go to the Loire. At the roundabout turn left to follow the Loire until Vouvray. At the only one traffic light of Vouvray, turn left and go straight ahead for about 2km. 200 meters after the sign showing you that you are leaving Vouvray you will see some signs showing the directions of the Chateau de Jallanges in the right hand side.
By plane:
The nearest airport is Tours. From there you can decide to rent a car, which is probably the best solution to discover the best spots of the area.
Coming from Paris airports, you can take the TGV train from gare Montparnasse until Tours. From there, we suggest you to rent a car and follow the above directions to reach the castle.
By train:
The nearest stations are Amboise or Tours. In both case, you can rent a car and reach the castle as above. |
