All the dining room staff were exceptionally polite & attentive. ... A perfect base for a few days to explore the beautiful & historical town of Amboise just a few minutes drive away.

We were not aware that we could easily have had three peole in a room in the Pavillion. As we were a group - this would have been fun. However, we were all satisfied and delighted with our accommodations. ... We were late one night and the key for one of our ladies was hidden ap[art from the other room keys. There was some concern as to whether she would be able to get into her room. As it turns out, an employee who was leaving helped her to search through the Office and the key was found. ... The Staff were very accommodating in preparing our bills. ... We enjoyed being able to have a glass of wine in 'the Cave' after our long journey (7 hours). The Cave could use some more comforatbel sitting arrangements. The Sommelier was very gracious. ... ...an absolute treat! Fabulous food, romantic setting and wonderful towels and accommodations.

We had a good time! The only problem was that my elderly father found walking up two floors via the spiral staircase with no rope or handrail quite difficult. Perhaps I should have given him the pavillion room that was allocated to my husband and me. ... Very pleasant - a lovely place with beautiful rooms in a wonderful setting.

We were not welcomed profusely but the person was polite. We had not looked at the directions on the website so we got a little lost. ... I loved the swimming pool. ... Went smoothly. ... No. ... Beautiful landscaping. Very spacious grounds. The room was okay. The furniture in it was nice, period furniture.

I was concerned that we were staying in the 'pavillion' and not the actual Chateau. It turns out that the Pavillion was 15th century and a component of the Chateau - we were very happy with our rooms. ... I would recommend Chateau de Pray to friends - it was quiet and private, but very close to the beautiful small village of Ambois.
