| | |  We will be delighted to meet and welcome you to our small, luxury guest house the 'Mas des Figues'. My guest house is located in the peaceful countryside, just 4 km west of historic Saint Remy de Provence at the foot of Les Alpilles. Nearby you will discover vineyards, olive groves, lavender fields and the artisan villages of St Remy and Les Baux. Bedrooms are delightful; simply furnished but comfortable, they are decorated with Provencals fabrics and antique furniture. |
 You can enjoy to stay in an authentic "gypsy caravan" that goes back to the origin of today's caravans but yet combines comfort and escape near the lavender bushes, whose smell perfumes the air on a summer's day. Our gypsy caravans are set in the heart of nature where silence rules. Your tranquility and peace of mind are thus assured. It corresponds to the humans'desire to live closer to nature while maintaining the level of comfort they are used to. |
 In my country home, there is a small salon area where you can relax but most people tend to congregate on the terrace before dinner... In our inviting dining room you will enjoy delicious fresh breakfasts and try some typically Provencals cuisine. During the summer months, dinner is served here and on cooler days, in the restaurant. The emphasis is on good quality, fresh, local products, which the chef uses to create delicious set menus. The terrace overlooks the pool and extensive grounds which are a delight to all the senses. |
 Eight hundred olive trees have been planted, echoing the local environment, as well as fruit and almond trees. Flowers and plants abound, especially around the house, not forgetting the lavender bushes, whose smell perfumes the air on a summer's day. From here you can pedal into Saint Remy or les Baux on bicycle, or venture along the small tracks that lead off into the stunning Alpilles mountains behind. In the heart of the countryside, Mas des Figues is a peaceful spot where you can unwind and forget about the stresses of daily life. If you want to leave the poolside and venture out, St Remy de Provence is just 4km down the road, and the Alpilles countryside with Les Baux de Provence is pratically on the doorstep. |
