By Plane
The airport serving Strasbourg is placed 10 kms from the city in a town known as Entzheim. It welcomes flights from Italy, France, Brussels, Vienna and Madrid on a regular basis. You should also consider that Strasbourg is really near the frontiers with Germany, therefore you may also come from this neighbour country: Karlsruhe Baden-Baden airport is found around 55 kms from the capital of the Alsace region.
By Car
From Strasbourg Airport, you will have to drive around 18 kilometres to reach the property (approx. 15 minutes). Take roads D221 and D400, turn right in highway A35 in the direction "STRASBOURG/ ILLKIRCH-GRAFFENSTADEN" and get off at the "EXIT 4/ Strasbourg Centre". Continue along N4 and you will reach Strasbourg, where you must go along Rond Point Mendes France, turn right in Route de Vienne and go along Rue de la Brigade Alsace-Lorraine. Turn left in Rue du General Koenig and keep on straight along Rue de la 1ere Armee: you will reach the hotel on number 30 of this track.
Karlsruhe Baden-Baden airport in Germany is located 44 kms from the inn (50 minutes driving more or less). You must drive along roads B36 and B28/E52 before entering France. Then join road N4 and you will arrive in the city. Go along Route de Vienne and then follow the directions already described.
By Train
From Strasbourg Airport, you can reach the Diana Dauphine by taking the trains to the station in central Strasbourg (it is 14 minutes trip, approx.), and then the tram (line A or D), up to Porte de l`Hopital, the stop placed closest to the property. (in fact, the inn is right midway between Porte de l`Hopital and Place de l`Etoile.
Otherwise, you should take the shuttle service that leaves every 20 minutes to the tram station called Baggersee, then the tram (line A, direction Hautepierre Maillon), and get off at Porte de l`Hopital. From Karlsruhe Baden-Baden airport you should know that there are bus services to Strasbourg. Bear in mind too that trains from Paris, the TGV service- arrive in Strasbourg in 2 hours 20 minutes, and there are also connections coming from Lyon, Metz and Karlsruhe in Germany.
Once you get out of Porte de l`Hopital station, it is really easy to reach the inn. Just walk along Rue Paul Reiss and turn right in Rue de la 1ere Armee. If you get off at Place de l`Etoile, you must cross the river and you will be walking along Rue de la 1ere Armee. |
