By Plane: The Aéroport de Mérignac-Bordeaux is only 60 kilometres from the Hôtel du Golf. You should not worry about connections for there are planes arriving regularly from Prague, Dusseldorf, Venice, Porto among many others cities in Europe.
By Car: From Mérignac airport, take your right at Cité Maryse Bastié and go along Rue René Cassin till you reach a roundabout. Here you should get on the second exit into avenue René Cassin and afterwards, on the A630/E05 highway in the direction "ANGOULÊME/ NANTES/ PARIS/ LIBOURNE/ BORDEAUX-LAC". Near Bordeaux, take the exit 8 to "LE VERDON/ LACANAU/ LE TAILLAN-MÉDOC/ EYSINES-CENTRE", and as you come close to Le Haillan, get on the N215. Next, you will come to Salaunes, where you must drive along the D6. Pay attention once the road changes its name to Déviation Moutchic: you will see a golf course on your left hand side, turn in the direction "Domaine de l`Ardilouse" and drive through the pinewood another 2 kilometres, heading towards the "Hôtel du Golf" signals. (This journey takes around an hour).
By Train: On demand, you can arrange a transfer service to and from Bordeaux at the hotel. Nevertheless, at the Mérignac airport you will find buses going to Saint Jean railway central station every 45 minutes (timetables for weekends may differ, though; the duration of the trip is of between 30 and 45 minutes). Afterwards, you can get on a bus to Lacanau Ocean, a trip that takes around an hour. Once you arrive, there are pick up services that can be arranged by the hotel in order to give you a lift to the inn.
You should also take into account that from Paris, there are can TGV trains reaching Saint Jean train station in only 3 hours; and regional trains (TER lines) from Arcachon, Bayonne and Pau, among other cities in France, also have stops here. |
