By plane: The airport placed closest to the property is Mérignac, in the outskirts of Bordeaux. This terminal is found 52 kilometres far from Hotel Le Vignoble, welcoming flights from all over Europe as well as other cities like Paris regularly. Once you reach this airport, you may rent a car and drive to Pauillac or reach Saint Jean train station in central Bordeaux by bus.
By car: From Mérignac airport, veer right into A630/E05 in the direction "Angoulême/ Nantes/Paris" and get off at exit 8 "Le Verdon/ Lacanau". At Le Haillan, drive along road N215, turn right into D1 and at a roundabout in Castelnau-de-Médoc, continue along the second exit, N1215. You will reach a second roundabout, where you must take the first exit, again N215. As you come to Saint-Laurent-Médoc, veer right into road D206, get to Pauillac and turn right into Rue Victor Hugo. Do it again in Rue L. Perrier and when the street changes its name to Quai Albert Pichon, pay attention, because Hotel de France et d`Angleterre stands on number 3, on your right hand side, and right behind it, you will find Hotel Le Vignoble. (This journey takes around 50 minutes).
By train: At Mérignac airport you can get on a taxi up to Pauillac or take the shuttle bus that reaches Saint Jean railway station (this trip takes between 30 and 45 minutes and works every 45 minutes). Once you reach Saint Jean, take a train towards Pauillac -you will arrive in an hour-: the train station is 1.5 km far from the inn; just walk along Rue du Maréchal Joffre, continue along Rue Jean Jaures and veer left into Rue Victor Hugo. You will get to Rue L. Perrier, where you must take your right and walk straight till Hotel de France et d`Angleterre comes into view on your right hand side (a 10 minutes walk, approximately). Meanwhile, if your plane lands in Paris, you can take the TGV service that takes 3 hours to reach Bordeaux railway station. |
