Strasbourg is a wonderful destiny to travel to in northeast France, and it is the capital of the Alsace region, as well as hostess to a number of really modern European Parliament buildings. By staying at Hotel Pax you will pretty close to major attractions such as Petite France, a charming district, the railway station, from where you may travel to villages in the outskirts such as Obernai and Riquewihr, and the Modern Art Museum. |
However, the must-sees of Strasbourg are the Cathedral, built between the 12th and the 15th centuries and the tallest building in the world between 1625 and 1874, as it is 142 metres high, and Maison Kammerzell, a traditional timber-framed house that dates as far back as the 15th century. |
Hotel Pax was established in the city in 1902, and it has always worked as a hotel, welcoming visitors throughout the decades, as a faithful witness of the changes that the capital of the Alsace region underwent in the last century. The last renovation took place in 2006, and nowadays the chambers enjoy modern facilities like wireless access to internet. |
