By Plane
The airport serving Strasbourg is found 10 kms from the city in a town called Entzheim. It welcomes flights from Italy, France, Brussels, Vienna and Madrid on a regular basis. You should also bear in mind that Strasbourg is on the frontiers with Germany, therefore you may also come from this neighbour country: Karlsruhe Baden-Baden airport is found around 55 kms from the capital of the Alsace region.
By Car
Strasbourg Airport is placed around 20 kilometres from Hotel Suisse (approx. 20 minutes). Take roads D221 and D400, turn right in highway A35 in the direction "STRASBOURG/ ILLKIRCH-GRAFFENSTADEN" and get off at the "EXIT 2". You will reach Strasbourg, where you must go along Rue Georges Wodli, Tunnel Wodli Wilson, Petite Rue des Magasins and Boulevard du Président Wilson. Then, take Rue de Wissembourg and you will reach Place de Haguenau roundabout: here, go along the second exit, Rue de Haguenau, turn right in Rue du Faubourg de Pierre, left in Quai Schoepflin and right again in Rue des Juifs. Veer left in Rue du Faisan, right in Rue des Fréres, Rue des Ecrivains and right in Rue de la Rape. You will find the hotel on number 2/4.
Karlsruhe Baden-Baden airport in Germany is located 45 kms from the inn (52 minutes driving more or less). You must drive along roads B36 and B28/E52 before entering France. Then join road N4, turn left in Rue du Grand Pont and continue along Avenue de la Foret Noire. Veer left in Place Sebastian Brant, right in Place de l`Université and again in Pont d`Auvergne. Go along Avenue de la Liberté, take your left in Rue A. Malraux, cross the river and keep on straight till Rue de Faisan. Turn left and then follow the directions already described.
By Train
If your plane lands in Strasbourg Airport, the best way to reach the hotel is by taking the shuttle service to the tram station called Baggersee, then the tram (line A, direction Hautepierre Maillon), and get off at Grand Rue -these connections leave every 20 minutes-. There are also trains going to the station in central Strasbourg (14 minutes trip, approx.). Otherwise, from Karlsruhe Baden-Baden airport you can take the frequent bus services to Strasbourg.
If your plane arrives in Paris, take the TGV service to Strasbourg (2 hours 20 minutes); the main railway station is placed 1,3 kilometres from the centre of town, approx. In order to reach the hotel you can use the tram service (lines A or D), and in a few minutes you will be near Hotel Suisse. |
