Our property is in the countryside of Gordes in the region of Vaucluse, Southeast France. The important cities close to this town are Avignon and Aix en Provence. The house is surrounded by vineyards and offers a view on the luberon mountain. |
By plane: Avignon is the airport serving the region of Vaucluse: this terminal is located 30 minutes from Gordes, welcoming direct flights from Paris and Southampton, as well as connections via Orly airport that come from other cities in Europe. If your plane lands in Paris, it is also easy to reach, as there are 3 hours connections on the TGV train service that come to Avignon.
By car:
- From Avignon Caumont airport - placed 28 kilometres from Gordes: take Chemin de Meinajariés street and veer right at Chemin de Félons. You will come to a roundabout, where you must go along the second exit into N7 motorway. As you come to Noves, take road D793 and at Caumont-sur-Durance, continue along D22. Turn right in road N100 and you will arrive in another town, Coustellet, where you have to take your left in D2. Afterwards, turn left at Chemin de la Calade and you will soon arrive in Gordes.Take on your right the direction Saint Pantaléon at about 4kms after the village. Reach Saint Pantaléon and there follow our sign "chambres d'hôtes La Badelle" on the road D104.
- From Lyon: Get off highway A7 at the exit "Avignon Sud/ Junction 24" or at "Cavaillon/ Exit 25" if you come from the south, for example from Marseille. Drive towards Apt and when you come to Coustellet, follow the direction Gordes.
By train: Before planning your trip bear in mind that the managers of La Badelle advise guests to reach the property by car, as there are no means of public transport coming close to the house. Anyway, you can reach Avignon by train, and then take a taxi or rent a car in order to come to Gordes. In Paris, there are TGV train services departing from Gare de Lyon towards Avignon (3 hours). |
