By plane: The airports placed closer to Bergheim are the international one serving Strasbourg -placed 10 kms from this city in a town called Entzheim- and the European Bale-Mulhouse airport. The Strasbourg terminal, located 55 kms from the Residence (35 minutes driving), welcomes flights from Italy, France, Brussels, Vienna and Madrid on a regular basis. Bale-Mulhouse airport is placed 83 kms from the inn (50 minutes): this terminal has connections from Paris, Prague, Amsterdam, and many other cities in Europe.
By car: If your plane lands in Bale-Mulhouse airport, you will have to pass Basel, in Switzerland, and get back into France. Continue along A35/E25 and get off at the exit for "N83/ NANCY/ SAINT-DIÉ/ STRASBOURG/ SÉLESTAT". Take roads E25 and N83 and get off at Exit 20. Turn left in D106 and at the roundabout, go along the first exit, D42. You must veer left in Rue de Pressoir, take Rue de la Porte Neuve and left again in Rue de la Croix. You will end up in Grand Rue, the main artery of this little town, and the hotel stands on number 57.
If your flight arrives in Strasbourg Airport, take roads D221 and D400, turn right in road A35 in the direction Saint-Dié/Colmar/Molsheim. Get off at exit 9 for Saint-Dié-des-Vosges/Mulhouse/Colmar and at the roundabout, go along the second exit into D1422. You will come to a new roundabout, where you must join A35 again and afterwards, E25. Continue along N83/E25 and get off at the exit 19 for "BERGHEIM". Then join road D42, turn left in Rue de l`Eglise; go Along Rue des Vignerons and veer right into Rue de la Croix. Then follow the directions already described.
By train: From any of the airports mentioned -either the one in Strasbourg or the Bale-Mulhouse one- you must get on the railway services to Colmar, a destination placed 15 kilometres away from the inn. In the first case, you can take the trains reaching the station in central Strasbourg (14 minutes trip, approx.), while from Bale-Mulhouse airport, you should get on the buses to the train station at Mulhouse. Once in Colmar, you can rent a taxi or go by the local bus to reach the Residence. Line 109 "Colmar-Ribeauville-Saint Hipolytte" departs from Colmar railway station and arrives in Bergheim in 40 minutes approx.
You should bear in mind that there are TGV services arriving at Colmar and Strasbourg stations, in case you must travel from Paris for example. |
