La Prevoté is placed on 4 Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, right behind the church in downtown L`Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, in southeast France. Two of the most beautiful villages in the country - Gordes and Rousillon - are located close to the inn. |
By plane: Marseille Provence airport is placed 68 kilometres from the property (55 minutes), welcoming both international and national flights -it is the third air terminal in France, therefore it will not be difficult to find a flight up to here-. An alternative is Avignon airport (19 kms, 20 minutes driving), which has direct connections from Paris and Southampton.
By car: As you come out of Marseille airport you must pass the towns of Vitrolles and Rognac before taking road D21 and highway A7/E714 towards "Aix-en-Provence/ Avignon/ Lyon". Get off this track at the exit 25 for Cavaillon and continue along roads D99 and D938. Veer right into Route de Cavaillon and you will eventually arrive in L`Isla-sur-la-Sorgue. Turn left in Place Emile Char, right in Quai Rouget de Lisle and left again in Rue du Pont Julian. Continue along Rue Michelet and Rue Paul Monition. Veer left in Rue de la République, right in Place Ferdinand Buisson and left in Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, where you will find the property on number 4, right behind the church.
If you are driving from Avignon Caumont airport, take Chemin de Meinajariés street and veer right at Chemin de Félons. You will come to a roundabout, where you must take the second exit into N7 motorway. Afterwards, take roads D973, D22 and D938 before following the indications already described.
By train: If your flight arrives in Paris, there are TGV train services departing from Gare de Lyon towards Avignon (a 3 hours journey). In order to reach La Prevoté on public transport you will have to come to the closest railway stations -there is a local one at L`Isla-sur-la-Sorgue, you can take a taxi from there; for the SNCF railway service, the nearest "gare" is Cavaillon (13 kms); for the TGV trains, it is Avignon (20 kms from the inn). |
