In May 1999, the Bastide Rose greeted its first guests. This traditional Provençal house is an ideal retreat for music and theater lovers as well as antiques enthusiasts, blending perfectly culture and nature. Poppy Salinger and her sons Emmanuel and Alexandre de Menthon take pride in welcoming their guests as personal friends.

The grounds are located in a curve of the Sorgues River in the middle of agricultural fields. The house is bordered by a canal which then passes under an XVIIth century paper-mill building. Between the canal and the river lies an heavenly retreat "the island" planted with fruit trees, and bordered by a dam where all sorts of fishes have elected to live, a little paradise for the fly fisherman. On the west-side of the house is a typical Provençal courtyard with centennial plane-trees.
