 At la Feniere, (good) food is a must. Indeed, la Fenière was first a small restaurant in Lourmarin, run by Mrs Claudette Sammut. This is where Reine Sammut, famous French Chef, started her career giving a hand to her mother in law, and graduately improved. After 22 years, La Fenière restaurant left Grand Pré street for a former countryside post office just a bit outside the village. |
 Through sheer inspiration, Reine turns simple dishes into more elaborate delicacies of grilled Mediterranean red mullet and julienne of carrots with cumin, roasted rack of suckling lamb from the Pyrenees, shoulder preserved in its lard with spices, fine wheat semolina with new vegetables and oil of Argan, manicottis with honey and almonds, halva ice cream... |
 In addition to our main gourmet restaurant "la Fenière", we have a small bistrot where you will enjoy a simpler yet still savoury cuisine: La Cour de Ferme offers a unique atmosphere in a tastefully arranged country farm courtyard with is rotisserie cuisine. We offer a fixed menu including an appetizer, main dish, and desserts. |
 In place of the main dish, for those of hearty appetites, you can choose from our selection of Marseilles style tripes, Simenthal beef, or poultry from Bresse served along with agratin dauphinois (baked sliced potatoes with cream). From June 15 until August 31, 2006, the grill will be opened every day except Tuesday for dinners from 7 p.m until 11:30 p.m. We are running some thematic days: every thursday, there is «Jazz-rock» music and wine tasting, and every Friday, you will have the possibility to enjoy our "aïoli". |
 La Cour de Ferme» is opened every day for lunch and dinner except on Mondays and Tuesday (opened in the evening). We also run thematic cooking classes, from April 20th to September 7th,2006. Every Thursday, you will discover the richness of French and Southern Cuisine with Reine Sammut and its chief pastry. You can take classes for half a day or a full day. (extra charge) |

| The Auberge is an excellent location to tour through the typical Provence villages. You will be charmed by St Remy de Provence, Les Baux de Provence, L'Isle sur la Sorgue... You may also appreciate the diversity of festivals during the summer months. Some are really famous like the theater "Festival d'Avignon". The hotel is also located in the middle of a wine region, where is produced the "Cotes du Lubéron" and "Cotes du Ventoux". Therefore you may like to visit the wine producers and go for a wine tasting. |
