 La Peiriero hotel is located in Fontvieille, the village where Alphonse Daudet found inspiration for the famous "Lettres de mon Moulin" novel. A copy of that novel is available at the hotel library and its reading will help you during your visits. Thanks to its central location and the excellent road links, our guests can visit the surroundings in short time: we are few kilometres far from Arles, Les Baux de Provence, St Rémy de Provence and the magnificent environment of the Alpilles range of mountains. |
Coming by Plane+Car
- The nearest airport is Nîmes-Arles-Camargue airport (40 km): from there take A54 (then it becomes N113) up to Arles. Take exit n. 7 and continue in direction Fontvieille-Tarascon. After approx. 5 km you will find a roundabout; take the first exit (D17) in direction Maussane Les Alpilles and you will find the hotel after few kilometres on the right hand-side.
- If you land at Avignon airport (42 km): take A7 highway, exit n. 25, then take the D99 in direction St. Rémy de Provence-Tarascon. Once at St. Remy de Provence follow in direction Les Baux de Provence taking the D5 and then towards Arles taking the D17. You will find the hotel on the left hand-side.
- If you land at Marseille Marignane airport (65 km): you can reach the hotel by taking A7 highway towards Lyon/Paris, and at Salon de Provence take the A54 towards Arles. Exit n. 7, then take the N570 towards Tarascon-Fontvieille. After approx. 5 km you will find a roundabout; take the first exit (D17) in direction Les Baux de Provence and you will find the hotel after few kilometres on the right hand-side.
Coming by Car
From Avignon: take the N570 towards Arles. Then take the D33 towards Paradou/Fontvieille. You will find a roundabout wit the roadsign for Fontvieille; take this street (called D17) and you will find the hotel on the left hand-side.
From Arles (8 km) follow in direction Fontvieille-Maussane les Alpilles taking the D17 and you will find the hotel on the left hand-side after the village of Fontvieille.
From Aix en Provence: Nice take highway A54, exit 7, direction Tarascon-Beaucaire. After approx. 5 km you will find a roundabout; take the first exit (D17) in direction Maussane Les Alpilles and you will find the hotel after few kilometres on the right hand-side.
Coming by Train
The nearest railway station with important links is at Arles (8 km). Once there you can easily reach Fontvieille catching a taxi. |
