By plane: The airport serving Strasbourg is placed 10 kms from the city in a town known as Entzheim. It receives flights from Italy, France, Brussels, Vienna and Madrid on a regular basis. You should also take into consideration that Strasbourg is really near the international borders with Germany, therefore you may also come from this neighbour country: Karlsruhe Baden-Baden airport is located around 55 kms from the capital of the Alsace region.
By car:
- From Strasbourg Airport: you will have to drive around 18 kilometres to reach the property (approx. 20 minutes). Take roads D221 and D400, turn right in highway A35 in the direction "STRASBOURG/ ILLKIRCH-GRAFFENSTADEN" and get off at the "EXIT 2". You will reach Strasbourg, where you must go along Rue Georges Wodli, turn left in Tunnel Wodli Sebastopol, and continue along Place Clement and Pont de Paris. Take Rue de Noyer, turn right in Place de l`Homme de Fer and you will reach Place Kleber. The hotel stands on number 29.
- From Karlsruhe Baden-Baden airport: It is placed in Germany, 56 kms from the inn (50 minutes driving more or less). You must drive along roads B36 and B28/E52 before entering France. Then join road N4, get off at Exit 51 "Strasbourg-Centre" and you will arrive in the city. At the roundabout, go along the third exit, Rue de Bischwiller and take Rue du Travail. Continue along Rue de Sebastopol and Pont de Paris. Then follow the directions already described.
By train: If your flight reaches Strasbourg Airport, you can get to the hotel by taking the trains to the station in central Strasbourg (14 minutes trip, approx.), and then the tram (line A or D), up to Homme de Fer, the stop placed closest to the property. Otherwise, you should take the shuttle service that leaves every 20 minutes to the tram station called Baggersee, then the tram (line A, direction Hautepierre Maillon), and get off at Homme de Fer. From Karlsruhe Baden-Baden airport you can take the bus services to Strasbourg. Once you get out of Homme de Fer station, it is really easy to reach the inn. Just walk along Rue du Noyer, past Homme de Fer square, and you will end up in another square, Place Kleber. Turn left at the first street and you will find the inn on number 29. |
