Domaine des Grandes Garrigues is situated under the village of Vaugines, at only 3 kms from Lourmarin, one if the most beautiful village of France with its famous castle dating back from the Renaissance, close to Ansouis and Cucuron in the area called 'petit Luberon'. At only 10kms, there is the park of La Roque d'Anteron where guests may enjoy the International Piano Festival during summer months. |
By Car:
- From Paris: Take the motorway A7 direction Marseille. Exit at Senas. Follow the direction Lourmarin. The Hotel Bastide stands on your right hand side once you arrived to Lourmarin, then take D27 for 3 km, and D45 for Vaugines (1km).
- From Nice: Take the A8 direction Avignon. Close to Aix en Provence, take the N296 direction Gap. After 6km, take the A51 a "Pertuis Sud". Exit at number 15. Take the D556, then D956. Cross the village of Pertuis. Take the D973 for 14km. Follow the direction Lourmarin then take the above directions to Vaugines.
By train:
The most convenient TGV station is Aix en Provence's, at about 30 kms.
From there you can take the shuttle bus that will take you to Aix en Provence center, rent a car there and follow the instructions below.
By Plane:
- From Marseille airport: The closest airport is Marseille Marignane. From Marseille airport, take the A7 direction Lyon. The exit to take the A51. Close to Aix en Provence, take the N296 direction Gap. After 6km, take the A51 a "Pertuis Sud". Exit at number 15. Take the D556, then D956. Cross the village of Pertuis. Take the D973 for 14km. Then follow direction of Lourmarin and Vaugines like explained before. |
