We privilege calm and relaxation. On the ground floor are two small cozy sitting areas where you will linger; breakfast, weather permitting, is served in the quiet oasis of a flower-filled garden courtyard. We will be more than happy to welcome you to our restaurant, La Guiguette, that will serve food from 12 to 14 and from 20.30 to 23.00. The restaurant is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. |
You will also appreciate the food of our other restaurant, Les Templiers . Les Templiers is one of the most ancient restaurant in the town, and its wine list like its food, made only with fresh products are well renowned. The patio of the restaurant has a unique atmosphere, especially at summer. |
After a day visiting and wandering in the wild Camargues, you will be more than happy to enjoy a glass at the bar of the hotel, with its "like home" atmosphere. Anne and Igor will be more than happy to tell you about their country while you will enjoy a cocktail....You may also like to relax and freshen up for a few minutes in the quiet and small swimming pool. |
The origin of Aigues-Mortes goes back a long way, far before before Louis 9th and his Crusaders came in the 13th century to glorify the history of these sites. Aigues Mortes has learnt how to preserve and enhance its cultural and historical heritage. Camargue remains though a world of contrast: after visiting Arles and its heritage, you will be stunned by the area unspoilt nature, white well-preserved beaches and fascinating flora and fauna. At only 20 minutes from the town, you will find the famous Saintes Maries de la Mer, renowned to be home of many gypsies who every year come here on May for the traditional pilgrimage. According to a Provençal tradition, the 'three Maries' were expelled from Jerusalem and were placed on a boat. Sara, the Maries' black servant, was kept on land, but Mary Salomé threw her coat onto the waters and the coat became a raft, allowing Sara to board on. |
