By plane: Strasbourg has an airport of its own, placed 10 kms from the city in Entzheim. It receives flights from Italy, France, Brussels, Vienna and Madrid on a frequent basis. In addition to this, as Strasbourg is near the international border with Germany, you may also come from this country, being Karlsruhe Baden-Baden airport the closest to the inn, placed around 55 kms from the city, capital of the Alsace region.
By car: - From Strasbourg Airport: you will have to drive around 19 kilometres (approx. 20 minutes). Take roads D221 and D400, turn right in highway A35 in the direction "STRASBOURG/ ILLKIRCH-GRAFFENSTADEN" and get off at the "EXIT 4/ STRASBOURG-CENTRE/ E52/ KEHL/ PLACE DE L'ÉTOILE/ MONTAGNE VERTE/ ZONE INDUSTRIELLE-PLAINE DES BOUCHERS". Continue along N4 and you will reach Strasbourg, where you must turn left in Rue Alfred Kestler, go along Pont du Danube and Rue d`Ankara. Afterwards, veer left in Rue de Boston and you will reach a roundabout where you must take the first exit, Avenue du General de Gaulle. Turn right in Boulevard Leblois and left in Boulevard de la Marne. This track changes its name to Boulevard Jean Sebastien Bach, and as soon as it does you should pay attention, as the hotel is placed on number 6, right in front of Place Marie Joseph Erb. - From Karlsruhe Baden-Baden airport in Germany: is located 44 kms from the inn (47 minutes driving more or less). You must drive along roads B36 and B28/E52 before entering France. Then join road N4, turn right in Route du Petit Rhin, left in Rue du Grand Pont and right again in Boulevard d`Anvers. Finally, take your right in Boulevard de la Marne.
By train: If your plane lands in Strasbourg Airport, take the shuttle service to the tram station called Baggersee, then again the tram (line A), which comes to downtown -these connections leave every 20 minutes-. Then you may change to line C of the tram at Homme de Fer and go up to Universitè, which is the stop nearer to the hotel. Otherwise there are trains reaching the station in central Strasbourg from the airport (14 minutes trip, approx.). From Karlsruhe Baden-Baden airport you can take the bus services to Strasbourg. Strasbourg main railway station, placed in Place de la Gare, is located 4 kms from the inn, so it will take you around 10 minutes to drive to the inn, or reach it by taxi. Trains from Paris -the TGV service- arrive in Strasbourg in 2 hours 20 minutes, while there are also connections from Metz, Lyon and Karlsruhe in Germany. |
