News and Media in France
Newspaper
The main daily French newspapers include Le Monde, Le Figaro, France Soir, Libération, and L'Humanité. For information about events in Paris, read Pariscope and L'Officiel des Spectacles. Amongst the main regional dailies are: Ouest France, L'Est Républicain, Le Dauphiné Libéré, la Dépêche du Midi, Sud-Ouest…
At newspaper kiosks, international airports, railway stations and at some newsagents you can find the main foreign daily newspapers and magazines, including The Economist, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and Newsweek. The International Herald Tribune is published daily in English in France.
Television
There are six channels of broadcast French television, three of which are public: France 2 (F2), France 3 (F3), and Arte. Canal Plus is a subscription movie channel which broadcast CBS Evening Newsevery day at 7am, while TF1 and M6 are commercial broadcast channels.
Radio
To hear radio news in English, tune to the BBC World Service at 648kHz AM. The Voice of America can be heard on FM frequencies 90.5, 98.8, and 102.4 Mhz. On Radio France Internationale English news is also available from 4-5pm daily.
