Information - Public Holidays
There are 11 legal public holidays in Franc (sometimes callled "Bank
Holidays"). On these days Government Departments, banks, post
offices and other public services, are genarally closed. Most stores
and businesses close on public holidays, but the majority of museums
monuments, and restaurants keep open, or close only on certain holidays.
For information ask local tourist office or your hotel concierge.

• May 1 - Labor Day - Fête du Travail
• Variable - Ascension (40 days after Easter)
• May 8 - Victory Day 1945 - Fête de la Victoire

• July 14 - Bastille Day - Fête Nationale
• August 15 - Assumption Day - Assomption
• November 1 - All Saints Day - La Toussaint
• November 11 - Armistice Day - Le 11 novembre
• December 25 - Christmas Day - Noël
